You've got questions, I've got answers!


Q: I'm confused, are you a baker or a designer?

A: Both! I'm trained and currently work as a graphic designer, but baking is a self-taught skill and a passion. Also, I'm a mom.. So yeah, I wear all sorts of hats. 

Q: Can I hire you to bake a cake?

A: Yes! If you live in the Baltimore area and I am available. Occasionally, I also do custom cakes in NYC. Sadly, I don't ship any baked goods. (I've seen postal workers kick boxes down the street and I sure hope those weren't cakes.)

Q: Can I hire you to design something?

A: Yes, I am available for freelance design work, art direction and illustration.  

Q: You have a weird name.

A: Is that a question? I was named after St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. She was a pioneer for schools in America!

Q: Do you do cooking demos?

A: Occasionally! Check this site or my blog, Pixel Whisk for updates. 

Q: You didn't go to culinary school. Why should I trust your recipes?

A: Because I didn't go to culinary school, I've worked even harder to teach myself how to bake. I test every recipe several times and have clocked thousands of kitchen hours creating the treats that I share with you. Luckily, even mistakes in the kitchen can still taste good, so really it's a win-win situation!

Q: Why is your dog in your photos?

A: Because my dog is awesome (all dogs are!) and occasionally he scores a crumb from one of my desserts.

Q: Do you shoot all your own photography?

A: Yes! I use a Nikon D610 DSLR with a 50mm f/1.8G Lens. That's it. No fancy lighting or sets. With a nice camera and some natural sunlight, anything is possible!
